E.R. Visit

Went to e.r. due to pain/Spotting. Baby measured 6weeks 1day. Heart rate 105bpm. The E.R. doctor said that's a little too slow, the E.R. nurse said it was WAY too low and to expect to miscarriage. They found 3 large cyst and prescirbed full pelvic rest and as much bedrest as possible. Follow up ultrasound Tues with our fertility doctor hoping for higher heart rate. Although the charts I've seen say 90-110bpm or some say 103 or higher at six weeks, I thought maybe 105 was ok?!

So now we wait and see what happens on Tuesday.

You don't need to publish this, i don't know what to say to you about the spotting- it could be nothing- it could be something. As far as the cysts go, I cannot tell you how many of my friends have gotten freaked out by their doctors finding cysts in early pregnancy. In almost every case, the cyst turns out to be a corpus luteum cyst and goes away as the pregnancy progresses. The following is copied from OMNI Gynaecological Care

Centre for Women's Ultrasound

and Early Pregnancy:An ovarian cyst is an enlargement of the ovary that appears to be filled with fluid. The vast majority of ovarian cysts diagnosed in early pregnancy represent a physiological cyst known as the corpus luteum (cystic or haemorrhagic). This is a normal finding in early pregnancy. The corpus luteum supports the lining of the womb and in turn the pregnancy itself. The corpus luteum does this by producing the pregnancy hormone progesterone which helps nurture the pregnancy. Once the pregnancy gets beyond the 1st trimester, the corpus luteum is no longer needed and therefore this resolves spontaneously, not causing any harm whatsoever to the mother or baby.

I will be praying that this turns out to be true in your case as well. (((hugs)))

Awwww... my prayers are going out to you that you dont have to worry about it being a miscarriage. Hopefully it is like you found, the heart rate is alright for that stage. Best wishes your way

I am so sorry for your bad news. Just put your worries in God's hands. "In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Philippians 4-6)
He does answer our prayers. And I am definitely praying for you.
